Spelling Errors
I was on-line today ordering The Mile Post which is a book that gives you a description of every mile driving thru Alaska. It had a bunch of links and I really got lost out there for a while. I ended up on a Web Site for Chicken Alaska. I thought I'd do some research and see what kind of campground I could find. This was the description of Chicken Creek RV Park. I think they need to have a spell check set-up on their web site.

I am always amazed when businesses miss spelling errors like this in their publications, signage, websites. You would think they'd care a little more about the impression they leave on people! Great one for the theme...
ReplyDeleteVery professional, huh? Great find on this one!
ReplyDeleteWhat are dry campers? Does that mean no drinkers allowed? Great find! Will you be able to see Russia from this campground?
ReplyDeleteDry campers are people who can camp with no water hook-up or electricity. In other words a self contained motor home could be a dry camper. We have an extra battery for electricity and holding tanks for one fresh water, one for waste water. No I don't think we'll see Russia! Wouldn't that be cool if you could?
ReplyDeletelol great find
ReplyDeleteCan I come with you on your trip? Sounds like fun and something I want to do when we retire (well when the DH retires).
ReplyDeleteAt least the pinic area has firepits, but I wouldn't want one of those Electic sites. My hair dryer might not work!

ReplyDeleteHey, I would want my hairdryer and microwave and coffee maker all to work all of the time. You would have to wonder how my family....they are all dry campers...ever came from me. My idea of camping is a bed & breakfast!
ReplyDeleteIncidentally, accommodate and misspell are two words that send up flags...I just have to proofread them. My job for many years was to proofread anything that left the company I worked for.
